HARMANDIR SAHIB POSTER: Sri Harmandir Sahib is the core of the spiritual essence of the Sikh faith. In 1757, after numerous failed attacks in India, Durrani took his anger to Amritsar. Baba Deep Singh came to defend Sir Harmandir Sahib after sustaining many wounds on his journey over. According to tradition, his head was severed but he continued to fight until he fulfilled his quest to reach the holy destination. In 1984, Sikhs were faced with another atrocity and Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale’s life was taken while he was taking a stand for the rights of Panjabis to live according to the rules and tenets of Sikhism. This shows two armies fighting for the glory of Sri Harmandir Sahib. The design of this poster shows two generals leading two different generations of Singhs against two different enemies but did one and the same seva: defending the honour of Sri Harmandir Sahib till death. The blue of Baba Deep Singh Ji’s chola is the same blue as Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale Ji’s dastar. It is a depiction of Baba Deep Singh Ji blessing Sant Ji, 1st Mukhi Damdami Taksal blessing the 14th Mukhi of Damdami Taksal.
